About Pu erh Tea: Pu erh is renowned for its medicinal qualities. Unlike other teas, Pu erh\'s quality and taste improve with age. Its taste is often described as earthy but some very well aged Pu-erh produce cups of incredibly smooth and wonderfully complex.

Product description: The main material for this Pu erh Tea is totally selected from the characteristic Shai Qing tea in the Big-leaf old arbour tree tea garden and the high-altitude, high-standard tea garden with no environmental pollution. It is made through slow natural fermentation. This is a pleasant tea to put on the side for a couple of years to leave it some time to work on the quality of its liquor and aroma.

Pu erh tea benefits: The Pu erh tea is purported to reduce blood cholesterol. It is also widely believed in Chinese cultures to counteract the unpleasant effects of heavy alcohol consumption. In traditional Chinese medicine, the tea is believed to invigorate the spleen and the stomach. It also contributes to weight loss.

Tea Storage: Keep the tea in a cool and dry place, sunlight will help to mature the tea. The longer it is stored the better the flavour and the more valuable it becomes!

Tea Brewing: We recommend using purple clay tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Take 3-5gms tea leaves off from the pu erh cake, an then put into a tea pot. Fill with boiling water and drain the water immediately to wash the leaves. Fill with hot water (90 degrees or over) again to brew for 1-2 minutes, Then serve.

Jiaogulan Tea

Type of Chinese Tea: Herbal Tea

History: Jiaogulan’s traditional use has not been widespread in China. It was used as a folk herb in the local areas where it grew wild. Jiao Gu Lan grows mostly in the mountainous regions of southern China, far from the central part of China, an area which has long been known as the “ancient domain of China”. This central area of China is where the classical system that we call traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) evolved. For this reason, jiaogulan is not included in the standard pharmacopoeia of the TCM system, and therefore has not had as widespread use as TCM herbs. However, an experienced TCM practitioner in China has analyzed jiaogulan and described its qualities in terms of traditional Chinese medicine, as “sweet, slightly bitter, neutral, warm, enhancing ‘Yin’ and supporting ‘Yang’”, and suggested that “it would be used to increase the resistance to infection and for anti-inflammation.”
